When children's laughter echoes across the lake and the scent of candyfloss mingles with the fresh summer air, it's time for our big family celebration by the lake. Right at the hotel, in the spacious garden, on the sunbathing lawn and, of course, on our three bathing jetties, you and your family can look forward to a colourful day full of games, fun and shared experiences. The Sonnelino team will make children's eyes light up with a variety of games and little adventures, while you enjoy the special atmosphere by the water.

• Stone painting by the lake: Using colourful acrylic markers, we paint small stones and turn them into “lucky beetles” and “fish”
• Glitter tattoos & face painting: Special designs such as suns, fish or little pirates – themed around the lake, summer and water.

Exercise & Action

• Mascot parade: Dancing together with Sonnelino in the mini disco.

When Lake Klopeiner See is bathed in a sparkling sea of lights, one of southern Carinthia's most spectacular summer highlights awaits you: Lake in Flames – a two-day festival full of music, culinary delights and magical moments by the water.

On 9th July, the festive atmosphere will be set with promenade magic and an impressive water and light show. Street performers, street theatre and a colourful supporting programme along the promenade will create a summer festival atmosphere around the lake.

On 10th July, the main programme will follow with live music and musical entertainment at several locations, regional delicacies, a farmers' market, a children's programme and a variety of side events. Culinary highlights and musical performances around the lake will make the whole day an experience for all the senses. A free lake shuttle will conveniently connect the event locations.

The highlight of the evening:
At 11 p.m., the spectacular lake fireworks display begins, transforming the night sky above Lake Klopeiner See into an impressive sea of colours. The interplay of music, light and reflections on the water's surface creates goose bump moments and unforgettable memories.

As a guest at the Hotel & Spa Sonne, you can enjoy this light show from a particularly exclusive perspective: from our private bathing jetties, you can experience the fireworks right by the water.

When summer slowly transitions into golden autumn days, the culinary season begins at Lake Klopeiner See. The Lake Festival is the atmospheric start to the gourmet autumn in southern Carinthia inviting you to an evening full of regional specialities and musical entertainment.

From 6 p.m. onwards, a variety of regionally produced delicacies await you in the centre of Seelach. The focus is on the gourmet triangle of bread, wine and salami, accompanied by autumnal beer specialities such as Hirter autumn beer and many other delicacies from the region. The marching band's entrance and open-air concert, atmospheric contributions from the male voice choir, Schuhplattler dancers and hunting horn players, as well as live music throughout the evening, will create the perfect atmosphere.

Regional exhibitors and local producers present their wares in the market tents: homemade products, fine wines, Had'n specialities, locally produced salami and numerous other delicacies invite you to taste, discover and take home.

As a guest at the Hotel & Spa Sonne, you can easily reach the festival and then enjoy the peaceful atmosphere right by the lake – the perfect end to an enjoyable autumn evening.
